About the Golf Cup International.

The BMW GCI in South Africa:

Eighteen qualifying BMW GCI Golf Days are hosted by BMW SA and participating BMW Dealerships in 2017. The winners from the three handicap categories at each BMW GCI Golf Day compete at the BMW GCI National Final. After the BMW GCI National Final the victorious trio proceeds to represent South Africa at the BMW GCI World Final. This world class event has been hosted at some of the world’s most beautiful and best conditioned golf courses. Host countries of the BMW GCI World Final include Singapore, Thailand, South Africa, Australia, Portugal and Argentina.

Entry is by invitation only and invitations are strictly non transferable. The tournament is open to amateur golfers over the age of 21 years and the participants should be members of a recognised Golf Club in South Africa. Further to this, the amateur golfers must have a valid SAGA handicap and be in good standing with their respective home golf club.

The BMW GCI in South Africa is played on an Individual Stableford format with three handicap categories:

Mens A Handicap 0 - 12
Mens B Handicap 13 - 28
Ladies Handicap 0 - 28
